Behind the scenes

This is a little behind the scenes view and a few details of the cardboard doll house. I haven’t yet decided how I will finish the backside and have access to the battery pack for the lights.

It has been so fun to use some creative thinking to repurpose items that would otherwise be thrown way! An old book cover as paneling for the living room and tree bark off of our sycamore trees for roofing. The bathtub is made using a silverware holder from an old dish drying rack. I also used cell phone box parts for the bathroom sink and napkin rings as light fixtures.

  1. I would never have known, by the front of your house, that the back is the way it looked when you started. I love that you bought the dolls first which in turn gave you the imagination of what their house might look like and then made the beauty that you have. And to build it all from cardboard etc makes it even more interesting and outstanding. ♥️
