Preserving Your Child’s Art

Both of my kids loved art when they were young….and I saved everything they created! When my daughter had her first baby and we were decorating the babies room, I came up with an idea for using some of the art she had done in grade school. She was really into drawing houses and cats, so I had stacks of these drawings sent home from school. That gave me a real theme to work with! I cut out each one, arranged them, and then glued them onto a 24″ x 48″ art board. I coated it with water based polyurethane to preserve it. I gave it to her on her first Mother’s Day. It looked great in the nursery, and now 2.5 years later it hangs in the playroom of their new house.
