This is the first prototype of my doll house chairs. There was a steep learning curve putting the chair together and working out a design. It is functional and kinda cute, but I am going to make some changes to the next one to make it a bit more appealing. The back leg is too straight up and down, so I am going to add a slight curve and then taper the front legs. I am hoping these changes will make a more graceful chair.
Since this chair turned out rather chunky, I decided to distress it to look old. Like it has been painted many times. The seat is done in ultra shade, which worked very well. It doesn’t fray and lays very flat after glue. It is the same fabric I covered the chair and ottoman in the living room.
I will photograph the steps on the next chair and include those in a future blog.
